Cadiz
Conference Hall, once used to be the Old Tobacco Factory,
and was built on the floor of the old market of the
city.
The
old Tobacco Factory, created in 1741 under Felipe V
reign was moved to its definitive location in the old
market, at "Plocia" street. Afterwards, it was given
to the Government for the creation of a modern factory
of three floors, irregular plant, and neo-mudéjar style.
.
The result was a striking building of bricks, pottery
and some details imitating the English factories and
the traditional evocation.
Inside the Conference hall we find interesting iron
structures, outstanding the patio structures and the
foundry and glass that cover it.
One of the most attractive things of Cadiz Conference
Hall, apart from the modern installations, is its location.
Few
Conference Halls can show off of being sheltered in
a building with such a history. And also few of them
can enjoy of surroundings with such a beauty.
At the bottom of the historical part of Cadiz, the Conference
Hall style harmonizes with the eighteenth century style
of the city. It is located next to RENFE train station,
face to the Commercial Dock and close to the Town Hall,
it is few minutes far from any need or service that
the visitor could demand..
